I am so glad Elijah has this week off! We are going to try to do some fun family things together to keep them all entertained. Zane is progressing in his potty training quickly. Today he was running around nervously in circles holding his bottom and he stopped and pulled my hand to bring me down to his level and said "poop". I said "okay, let's go poop potty!" So off he went to the bathroom and put his seat on the potty, took his pull up off, climbed up on his stool to get on the potty and just sat there playing with his special potty toys he can only have when he is on the potty. We sat for about 10 minutes and you could tell he didn't know whether or not to poop in the potty or if he would get in trouble..... Pooping is a little harder than pee pee. So eventually he said "All Done" and got down with no poop in the potty. At least he knew he had to poop and what to do with it. The idea is there but the execution is a little fuzzy!! He is well trained however, he flushes the potty, puts his potty seat up, brings the step stool over to the sink, washes his hands, dries and then puts the lid down! That is better than Daddy does!!
You will have to forgive the less frequent posting for a couple of weeks. My Mom is bed ridden for the most part so I have 5 people to tend to, not just 4. She is still very uncomfortable and can't walk or bend at all so we bring everything to her and help her out of bed when she needs to get up. She goes to the Dr. on Monday morning. Zane doesn't understand why she can't take him outside or go with him in the car sometimes to Walmart like she used to do. He pulls her by the hand and cries for her to get up, then she starts crying because he doesn't get it and she thinks she's disappointing him or that he will get mad at her. It is sad, Dad and I aren't good enough all the time, sometimes he just wants to play with Nanny. We are believing for a speedy recovery for her so she can let Zane jump on her and drag her around again. I know it would make her happy!
