Happy New Year (except for the fever!)

My little man has a throat infection and had to go to the Pediatrician today. He has kept a fever for the last 36 hours and he kept telling me to fix it and pointed to his throat so we took him and he got an antibiotic to keep it from getting worse over the holiday. Brian asked Elijah if he wanted to go to the Dr. with us and he said "No Way I can't handle it!" He usually is more upset than Zane, especially if they have to give him a shot. One crying little one is enough! He's a very overprotective big brother. While they were getting the blood from his finger (she ran a cbc) he was crying saying "Aw Mannnnn! " We didn't know whether to laugh or cry!

One of Elijahs presents for me

Elijah got me some perfume and this trophy from his holiday store at school. I collect Willow Tree figures and they also got me another one to add to my collection.

Christmas Pictures!

I posted as many pics as I thought you would want to see. We have about 3-4 days of Christmas at our house with different family members so it is a lot! I posted these in reverse so excuse the craziness! Christmas Day is before Christmas Eve, but you get the idea!! P.S. Zane can count to 15 now!!!!!

Christmas Morning!

Zane wanted to sit on it instead of using it as a desk!

Zane's Kitchen!

Zane got a new kitchen that has a diner on one side and a kitchen on the other. He really loves it. He always likes to help me mop and sweep and he has known the difference between hot and cold forever. We knew he would really love a kitchen of his own.

Dakota playing in the kitchen.

Dakota is one year older than Zane but they have a good time playing.

Daddy got Mommy a Biskit calendar!

We don't ususally buy a lot for each other but this year we did more than usual. Brian got me some Euphoria perfume and a Guess pocketbook I have been eyeing. He did good!

Zane hugging his Daddy!

Daddy playing with the wagon and the race car toy!

Elijah and his video chair

He got a video chair for Christmas that has speakers in it so you can hear your movie or video game in surround sound. It is really cool. Austin came over too so we had a house full! They have been friends since they were Zanes age. He had his tonsils taken out last week but is doing great!

Elijah got an amazing robot from Uncle Shane

This thing can follow you around the house talking to you. It is really funny and smart!

Zane is nuts over his Handy Manny Toolbox!

Making Coffee!

Zane doing some filming of his own!

He loves cameras and taking pictures. He is a ham in front of the camera as well.

Dad and Zane waking up slowly

Early Christmas Morning playing Daddy Claus!

(At 1:30 a.m.) Brian has his toy (his drill) and he's working on Zane's toy. We finished at about 2:15. We don't do Santa Claus at our house but we do have Daddy Claus or Nanny Claus!

Sleeping Bear #1!

Christmas Eve night and off to sleep he went! He was going to stay up and help us put Zane's kitchen together but he was worn out too.

Christmas Eve night about 12:00 am

Finally sleeping! All the excitement and getting home at 10 took it's toll. He slept as hard as a rock.

Christmas Eve at Brian's Moms house

We always spend Christmas Eve at Brian's moms house and Christmas Day with my family. The kids usually have 3 days of present opening. They are always worn out by the day after Christmas. This year my brother and his family didn't come until the day after Christmas so it was definitely a long, long, couple of days.

Look Twins!

I can't even imagine having 2 of him! I would never get a word in edgewise from all the talking. He loves looking at himself in the mirror!

Zane and Sarah

It wouldn't be Christmas without a ball for Zane to hop on!

Elijah loves his Club Penguin!

He plays it online a lot at home. It is a good, clean game for kids his age.

Biskit wants to play too!

I can count to 12!

Zane started counting to 12 yesterday! Eleven sounds like "Le-na-na". It's funny! Elijah has been teaching his ABC's every day. He says it with Elijah "A,B,C...YEAH!!"

Oh what am I to do?!

What a face!

I am counting to 10!!!

I can't believe he is counting to 10! He has gone from counting to 5, to counting to 8, and now 10 within 1 week. He can also identify 8 colors. It is amazing how much they soak up and learn at this age, it is a joy to watch. He is getting to where he doesn't like being wet and tells me when he poops so I think we will begin some potty training since he has shown some basic signs of readiness. Hopefully that will go as well as the counting!

Cheesing it up for the camera

Here's my muscles!

Zane loves to flex his muscles when we ask him to. He got it from a Wiggles video titled "Growing Strong." He grunts while he does it like a body builder!

Elijah's Christmas Choral Ensemble

Elijah had a Christmas Ensemble at school tonight. He has been taking Chorus as an extra club at school all year. He loves to sing! It was really cute and he did a good job.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This is Vincent, Brian's cousin, and Elijah. Elijah loves Vince to pieces! We ate lunch at Brian's Aunts house and spent dinner with my family. Elijah wanted me to take him out at 4:00 am for the Black Friday sales so I did. We ended up coming home from Thanksgiving and staying up the rest of the night. Then we left at 3:45 to get to Sears and Kohls by 4 so we could stand in line and freeze. We had a good time! It is important for us to spend individual time with our kids one on one. Brian and I both like to do things with both kids on their own. Brian takes Elijah out to stores that they both have interest in and I do the same with him. Elijah and Zane spend a lot of time together too. They are very close. Elijah is the typical over-protective big brother.

Zane enjoying Aunt Mollys reindeer!

Elijah and Hannah wrestling in the yard!

Hannah, Sarah and Elijah are all very close in age and they enjoy aggrivating each other whenever they can.
Zane was admiring Molly's tree. So far this year he hasn't taken any ornaments off of my tree. I taught him to touch with his finger not to grab and it' working so far.
